The Whiskey Sour is a mixed drink containing Whiskey (bourbon), lemon juice, sugar, and optionally, a dash of Egg white or few droplets of vegan foamer. It is a type of sour, a mixed drink with a base spirit, citrus juice, and a sweetener.
Whiskey (Bourbon) - 2 ounces
Lemon juice - ¾ ounce
Simple syrup - ½ ounce
Egg white (optional) - ½ ounce
Garnish : Angostura bitters / Orange twist
Cocktail shaker
Lemon squeezer
Bar spoon
Jigger
Whiskey glasses
Sezzle stick
Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white, if using, to a shaker and dry-shake for 30 seconds without ice.
Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.
Strain into a rocks glass or a coupe.
Garnish with 3 or 4 drops of Angostura bitters.
